BRUNO VON NÜNLIST
BARITONE

Bruno v. Nünlist, was born 1965 in Switzerland. He has studied with Maria Stader and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, both living then at and near Zurich.

Between 1988 and 1991 the Baritone won some well known Competitions like the Swiss Migros- und Ernst-Göhner-Competition, the 'Fonds suisse pour les bourses musicales' of Schweizerischer Tonkünstlerverein and several other important prizes.

The Baritone attended masterclasses with Maria Stader, Edith Mathis and with Dame Elisabeth Schwarzkopf at the Salzburg Mozarteum, followed by two Masterclasses at the International-Hugo-Wolf-Academy in Stuttgart. Further studies with Jakob Stämpfli, Irwin Gage and Gundula Janowitz at the 'Fondation Abbaye de Royaumont' near Paris and in Vienna, together with the Australian Accompanist Stephen Delaney. His Profs where Accompanist Charles Spencer, Rainer Hoffmann and the Tenor Karl Markus.

Bruno v. Nünlist has given recitals and concerts in European capitals such as London, Paris, Rome, Vienna, Budapest, Copenhagen, Amsterdam. He has performed in Belgium, Germany, as in Hannover, Stuttgart, Frankfurt/Main, at the Würzburg Mozartfest, Bad Homburg, Bad Krozingen, at the Island of Rügen as well as in Kenya, Mexico, Guatemala, Columbia and El Salvador and in Switzerland.

He has recorded several CD's as Schubert's‚ "Die schöne Müllerin" and "Winterreise", Gounod's Messe solennelle Sainte Cécile, Duruflé's Requiem, Brahms' Requiem, Rossini's Stabat Mater, and recitals on radio and television.

In Spring 2002 Bruno v. Nünlist had the honour of being received by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, during her Golden Jubilee, in which he was taking part. Her Majesty received a CD of works by John Dowland by the singer.
