Young conductor Adriel D. Kim has been praised for his remarkable technique and versatile musicality. Born in South Korea, Adriel D. Kim began playing the violin from the age of 8, and at 13 made his debut with the Korean National Symphony Orchestra. In 1992 he moved to Vienna to continue his studies at the University for Music and Performing Arts where he graduated with a Master's degree in conducting (Leopold Hager-GMD of Vienna Volksoper, Mark Stringer) and Violin (Rainer Küchl-leader of the Vienna Philharmonic). In 2007 he made his debut at Musikverein in Vienna as a selected graduate to conduct Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra in a public concert. Soon after In October 2007 he was a finalist at the 14th Competition for Orchestrel Conductors of the European Union in Spoleto Italy.

During his formative period as a conductor in the mid-2000s; he served as an assistant conductor at Schlosstheater Schoenbrunn Vienna, and made his operatic debut in Mozart's opera "La Finta Giardiniera".

Adriel was named music director of the Vienna Academic Soloists; orchestra members based at Vienna's University for Music and Performing Arts. As director of the VAS he directed a concert that featured innovative programming for young persons and those who are new to classical music. As a violinist he won the first prize at the Pietra Ligure International Music Competition in 2000. Adriel Donghyuk Kim has appeared as a conductor with some of Europe's finest orchestras; including the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Graz Symphony Orchestra, Kosice State Philharmonic Orchestra, Classic FM Orchestra Sofia, the Slovak Sinfonietta, and the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto, Italy. In 2008 he was appointed as one of the guest conductors of the Beethoven Sinfonieorchester Wien.
